Ladies draw night
We drew ladies! I need practice drawing LOTS of things but especially ladies. We had 8 artists show up tuesday night. Alan Tew, Jon Diesta, Tom Scholes, Derek and Rachel Hunter, and 2 other folks but their names are no longer kept on file mentally. Some people drew their own thing but Alan, Jon, Rachel, and I drew the ladies.
I don’t know if you can tell but the first sketches here feel very stiff to me. It’s crazy how one needs to warm up to get better flowing sketches. I should do warm-up sketches every morning. Hmmm. Anyway you’ll see my creepy version of Manga art at the bottom, Derek helped me out and added some Japanese.

These next sketches are more of those where we trade and add to each other’s art. I love doing this. You get a good feel of the other artists knowledge of anatomy, everyone learns anatomy differently so it’s great seeing and feeling those differences first hand. These are sketched by Alan Tew and finished by me except for the middle one. Rachel Hunter sketched that one for me. Oh and obviously that last sketch is NOT a lady, but he’s dancing a bit and is in touch with his feminine side at the moment so I thought to include him.

And this last one is another sketch by Alan and finished by me. And a scary face that was a scribble by Rachel Hunter, she wanted to see me make something out of it. Yes that is a lady, see the eyelashes? Come one, men don’t have eyelashes silly!

Thanks for comin by everybody!

Man that forced pov shot on the right side of the first page is amazing! Great Stuff Ryan!
everything here is so cool…
Draw in company is always great!
great work.
that manga one is hilarious
Man those are great
As always your work continues to inspire me.
And if you think your poses are stiff you should look at a bunch of my drawings.
Lovely! My fave is the top shot of the girl on the right. The perspective is great and the overall drawing…..AWESOMESAUCE
ooohhh wow!
Yeah, warm up. I thought I was the only one that had to do that. Ha! I’m glad other people struggle. Really man, you do make it look easy. I mean, drawing hot ladies is something, drawing “real” ladies with emotions and personality is a gift and you do it so well. No doubt your mastery of expression and acting has helped draw me into the story and made these characters live and breath. I read Invincible issues now like I get into Lost. I’m emotionally invested in these characters.

Hey
I finished some Thor pages I have been working on. Its Thor based more closely on the Myth rather than the clean shaved blonde haired version. This was a great Learning curve for me as they all should, but I would be very grateful if you could just give a look over it and let me know what you think or where you see any issues. I’ll except praise also
Is you Draw night kinda like the drink and draw group? Either way getting a group of any kind is a great means to learn off one another. This I’m sure you know. Great stuff man.
Thank you.
