ME post!
Some pics for you and an interview! Big Shiny Robot interviewed me about how it is working with good ol’ Kirkman and what kinds of things I drew as a kid, and a lot more, it was a fun interview. Go check it out, just click HERE!
I’ve never posted pics of me here. So here are some photos of me at the Toronto con last month. The first pic is me at my table, you can see behind me a row of other comic dudes who are GREAT guys and amazing talents, we got Bob Layton, David Michilinie(My first comics were written by this dude), Clayton Crain, and Mike Grell down the row.
And here are some photos of Clayton Crain, Karl Kershl, and I at a sketchoff. We sat for an hour and drew Batman while the crowd asked us questions. I’m no fan of public speaking so it was hard for me to be comfortable at all but it still ended up being a lot of fun. The guy at the bottom won the drawing in a raffle.

Damn You Ottley I want a sketch
Just kidding althought a sketch would be great if I can ever make it out to a con you happen to be attending and get onto your list in time. You should come to the fictional San Antonio Con I’m having whenever I feel like it.
You have a childlike look on your face in the first picture.
Also, Karl Kershl rocks hardcore. Why doesn’t he get more work?
BSR!: And our last question, did you trade all of your soul with the devil for your wonderful talent? Or just part of it?
RO: Yes.
I knew it!!
Aesop Rock/Jeremy Fish. You’re a hip cat. Love your art and your blog. It inspires me to keep drawing even though I’m a few years removed from art school with a real job now.
my gf is in the second picture… sort of.
anyways, that was a pretty amazing drawing you did that day. you were able to finish your sketch alot more then the other two. Mind you, you kept pretty quiet up there compared to the others.
What a dreamboat. *swoon*
Great art Ryan !!!
From what we can see it seems similar to Ed Mc Guinness Style.
You’re so talentuous that I can’t help to ask what about issue 50 of Invincible (sorry to ask) ???
Moris- Childlike look on my face? It’s called a smile! Adults do it for time to time also. Your life must be miserable.
Larry, yeah those other dudes were totally comfortable up there. I was actually racing to get done because an hour is such a short time and I didn’t know how much time we had. So when I’d got to a finishing point with the figure I realized we had more time so I started adding buildings and everything. That hour lasted longer than I thought.
Cory Walker- You are the BEST at swooning!
RONCEVAUX- I don’t have any exact dates. I wish I did. But it’s been at the printers for a while so my guess is May 14th or the week after.
