Did this at Draw night last night. We had a nice big showing, lots of artists hangin out. The radical Derek let me borrow his home made watercolor set and I went to town on this Red Hulk sketch. The red Hulk comic was fun I thought, seemed like he could kill anybody. Of course the main reason why I liked the book was because of the art, the team of Ed McGuinness and Dexter Vines was extremely pleasing to say the least. But why would I only wanna say the least? To say the most it was absolutely mind-blowing seeing what those two can lay down on paper. So yeah, this sketch is a little shout-out to the fun that was Red Hulk.

Great, the character has a great expression.
It would have been really funny if he was wearing Spidey’s mask the same way the Red Hot Chili Peppers wear socks.

I’ve gotta say, from the shoulders down, this pic is awesome. The neck up is really odd though. I think the neck is WAY WAY too long (does Hulk even have a neck) and the face and hair just don’t seem right. Does Rulk have pupils? Otherwise, I think its cool and I know you can do a cool Hulk cos I got your print of Hulk pwning The Thing hanging on my wall. Keep up the good work!

this is fucking awesome. I love your anatomy, except i agree with the neck comment, it seems a little off. But still it rules.
What I don’t get is why you don’t ever try coloring comics. The answer is obvious, because your penciling is impeccable, but still, you should give it a go since your coloring has always seemed very solid.
Oh man, I went into a laughing fit at the office. Wolverine’s hand started it, but the realisation that he’s wearing Captain America’s shield on his crotch really did it for me.
Love the demented look on his face. Captured the character perfectly! And nice touch with the shield!
NICE! funny too. You guys must just have a blast at draw nights. Where do you usually hold them? the local pub? Local comic shop? someone’s living room?
He’s got kind of a Crazy/Mad mag look about him..not that I mind that at all.
Reminds me a little of the Teen Hulk strip Crazy used to run back in the day.
