The Invincible Dead Part 1

Categories: General

I’m going to post this zombie Invincible here in 3 parts, one part each day for……uh…..three days. heh. I sketched it all with blue pencil first, just getting a feel for the figure, then added more detail with a 2b pencil. The next stage I go straight to inks and colors. I’ll post that up tomorrow. See ya!

  9. 2B? Jeez. Don’t you have problems when erasing that off of the page? I would think a lot of ink comes off along with the pencils when erasing. Or maybe it’s just me…

    Awesome, BTW.

I think you’re getting pretty dangerous with those Copics. We’ll have to compare notes sometime…

    Rock on!

I’ve been growing more fond of softer leads these days. Helps keeps me loose and I don’t “pet” the line as much anymore. 2B’s work great so long as you don’t grind the graphite into the paper until they become one.

  1. […] This awesome Invincible zombie is by Ryan Ottley, the artist of the on-going Image series, written by Walking Dead/ Marvel Zombies scribe Robert Kirkman. Also, check out the pencils, the illo half done and, as a bonus, zombie Superman and zombie Batman. […]
