Another draw night was had last night. It’s great that it’s getting bigger, more and more people show up bringing with them their awesome talents. Hangin with all these people can just make an artist better, it’s pretty cool. I highly recommend it.
So this first sketch I did for one of the draw night attendees, Dave Chisholm who draws Lets go to Utah. The character’s name is Leif, you can actually read the comics at his deviant page, they are flippin great, trust me.

And now here is Lobster Ladd! This is a sketch for my home dawg Derek Hunter who did a book for Slave Labor back in the day called Pirate Club. He’s working on this cool comic now about a ladd who fights albino lobsters to try and find his family, it is quite awesome indeed.

Spidey VS Silver Surfer! Yeah it might not REALLY go down this way but hey, its fun to imagine.

Thanks!

More draw night sketches.

Here’s the last of my cards I drew on for the Marvel Masterpiece 2 set. These original art cards will be inserted into random packs of cards.

So my little one-shot comic called Death grub comes out in May. Hope you guys will get a chance to grab a copy, the graytones that Cliff Rathburn(Brit, Walking Dead tones) did on this thing look SO good. I wrote, pencilled and inked this comic in 24 hours but with Cliff’s tones it doesn’t look like a fast drawn comic anymore. So I’m pretty excited about it. Here’s 5 pages just for you! Later.

Draw night was rad! My cousin in-law Adam showed up, and another newcomer was Dave who draws a comic called “Let’s go to Utah” and his girlfriend, and of course the regular folks. I really am enjoying that comic, you people should take a look, it’s totally surreal. Onto the sketches. I had a lot of fun drawing these faces, I just thought I’d play around with one characters face in multiple shots.

This next monster chick is a little freakish, kinda nasty. Sorry.

Don’t ever give a dragon a piggyback ride.

Thanks!

Hey everybody! Why didn’t anyone ever tell me how awesome Toronto is?!? Holy crap what a great place and the con was perfect. Torontonianites are the coolest people EVAR! Seriously I had a good time, Tiziano and Kevin and all the other guys that run the little Toronto con did one great job. I felt like a total rockstar the whole time. Thanks guys! And thanks to all you people who stopped by my table and got a sketch, if you want I’d love to get a scan of them to put in a future trade paperback or future sketchbook or even to post here.
I hope everyone was happy with their sketches, I had to rush a few of them especially at the end of the con Sunday night, I had to leave early to catch my flight. Sorry to those I had to cutoff, I wish I could’ve drawn for everybody that wanted something but there just wasn’t enough time. I appreciate you all stopping by and sharing your enthusiasm with me about Invincible. I enjoyed it! The con got me all amped up, People are really excited about Invincible and can’t wait for issue 50. Which should be out in May sometime.
Here is the cover for the Comics Journal issue # 289 featuring a HUGE interview with Robert Kirkman. Definitley a fun cover to draw, never tried Battle Pope or Rick from Walking dead before so it was quite fun to do.

Thanks!

Invincible 50 is DONE! So that means I could enjoy draw night last night and draw whatever I want. Wanna see what I maded??! Good. Page one of sketches, just a warm-up with heads and a guy with a cool power.

MORE ladies and monsters.

A scury lady, with a freshly torn out heart still beating in her hand! Absent the gore.
Havn’t done much draw night sketches in a while, this Invincible issue 50 is taking all my time. It’ll be worth it though. This issue is freakin awesome. I’m doing some of these original art cards for Marvel Masterpieces card set, they are putting these original art cards into random packages of cards. I love doing these things, I have about 8 or 9 more to do. Here is my first 6.
